SMOKER STATUS BY AGE The smoking rate was highest among those Tasmanians in the age groups 18-24 years (32.1% were daily smokers) and 25-44 years (30.8% were daily smokers) and lowest among those Tasmanians aged 65 years and over (8.6% were daily smokers).
