State and Territory
Some 3.6% of employed usual residents of Australia were employed in a cultural industry for their main job. For state and territories, the proportion was the largest in New South Wales where 4.3% of employed usual residents (or 136,079 persons) were employed in a cultural industry for their main job. Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory also employed over 3.5% in cultural industries, while Western Australia and the Northern Territory had the lowest levels of employment in cultural industries (2.7% and 2.8% respectively).
