FARM USE OF COMPUTERS, 1998, 1999, 2000 From March 1998 to June 2000, the proportion of farms using computers and the Internet in Tasmania increased from 36% to 57% of all farms recording computer use and from 12% to 35% of all farms recording Internet use. In the Greater Hobart-Southern Region, computer use on farms increased from 37% to 60% and Internet use increased from 14% to 37%. In the Northern Region, computer use on farms increased from 37% to 55% and Internet use increased from 11% to 35%, and in the Mersey-Lyell Region computer use on farms increased from 34% to 55% and Internet use increased from 12% to 33%.
