DESCRIPTION

This survey provides information on a range of cultural and recreational activities, including organised sports, by children aged from 5 to 14 years inclusive. Both State and National data are collected.

Data from this survey are used to develop health intervention programs, to plan sporting facilities and to monitor access to information technology.


SCOPE

Children aged 5-14 with parents in scope of the Labour Force Survey. Excludes persons in non-private dwellings. Also excludes persons living in some remote and sparsely settled parts of Australia.
