Purpose
To develop, maintain and update a data information system for the bus and coach industry.
Description
This survey provides indicators for establishing agreed benchmarks of efficiency and effectiveness for the industry.
Data are collected by mail questionnaire sent to bus and coach operators who are members of the program.
Data Detail
Average partial and gross total factor productivity measures of performance. Partial measures include:
- Revenue per passenger;
- Cost per passenger;
- Revenue per vehicle kilometre;
- Cost per vehicle kilometre; and
- Passengers per vehicle kilometre.

Frequency of Data Availability
The survey is conducted annually.

Data are available for 1995-96.
