Over 275 Census Collector jobs available in Central Queensland
Are you looking to earn some extra money while working in your local community?
The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has a Census job for you.
The ABS is launching a recruitment drive for over 275 Census Collectors in Central Queensland, to reach every suburb, town and property during the 2011 Census.
These Collectors will form the Central Queensland contingent of a 29,000-strong army of Collectors across Australia who'll work on the Census this year.
The part-time positions involve distributing and collecting Census forms to 740,000 households right across the state, from Bowen to Blackwater and everywhere in between.
Queensland’s Census Director, Sally Pritchard says these jobs suit anyone who cares about their community and is looking for a bit of extra money.
“Queensland has gone through so much this year. Anyone who wants to give back to their community or just earn a bit of extra money can apply for these jobs. We need people to help out in all corners of the state,” Ms Pritchard adds.
ABS Census information is broadly used by governments, businesses and individuals across Australia for planning and analysis.
Census Collectors will be employed from 1 July to 8 September, and will earn between $1,300 and $2,800.
Applications are open from 9 April to 5 May - apply online at abs.gov.au/census
