Sex of Lone Parent

Sex of Lone Parent (SLPP)

This variable indicates the sex (i.e. either male or female) of lone parents present in the household on Census Night.

Sex of Lone Parent (SLPP) is new for 2011 and combines responses from the sex and relationship questions on the Census Household Form (questions 3, 5 and 53).

Questions 3 and 5 as they appeared on the 2011 Census Household Form

Data for this variable is mainly derived from questions 3 and 5 on the Census Household Form. Data for Persons Temporarily Absent (question 53) is also used in a small proportion of cases.
