
HOUSING
At the time of the 2006 Census there were 166,668 Indigenous households in Australia compared with 6.98 million other households.
Indigenous households are defined as those containing at least one Indigenous person, excluding visitors, who identify as being of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander origin. Households that fall outside this definition are referred to as 'other households'.
