Health conditions: ABS National Health Surveys collect information on many chronic conditions such as asthma, cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and mental disorders.

Risk factors: Obesity, physical activity, tobacco smoking and risky alcohol consumption are some of the more prominent health risks in modern Australian society.

Four out of five Australians (82%) reported seeing a general practitioner in 2010–11, while 49% saw a dental professional and 33% saw a medical specialist. At least 80% of people felt their health professional always or often spent enough time with them, listened carefully to them and showed them respect.
