About Survey TableBuilder

Survey TableBuilder is an online tool for creating tables from ABS survey data. Starting with an empty table, data variables can be selected for cross-tabulation. Tables can be constructed, previewed, exported and saved within Survey TableBuilder. Tables can be exported in CSV, Excel or SDMX format.

Initially, Survey TableBuilder will provide population estimates based on categorical variables (such as age and sex) from ABS household survey data. Population estimates based on continuous variables (such as income) are expected in 2013.

Survey TableBuilder has been developed to complement the existing suite of ABS microdata products and services including Census TableBuilder and CURFs. The User Manual: Survey TableBuilder, 2011 provides information about how to build and customise tables in Survey TableBuilder.
