STATISTICAL CO-ORDINATION AND USER FORUM (SCUF)
SCUF is a quarterly meeting chaired by NSW Treasury in collaboration with the NSW office of the Australian Bureau of Statistics. NSW State Government is represented by members from a range of agencies in NSW. SCUF members may also chair an information cluster, made up of NSW State Government agencies with similar statistical needs.
The ABS benefits from SCUF through discussion with key NSW State Government agency groups to ensure statistical issues important to NSW remain strongly represented in ABS work programs. SCUF members are able to identify sources of statistical data outside of the ABS, champion information sharing across government, and engage in strategic initiatives to improve the statistical infrastructure in NSW and beyond.

STATE STATISTICAL PRIORITIES PROCESS (SSPP)
The ABS conducts annual reviews of the information needs of State and Territory governments, with the aim of improving the relevance and quality of the statistical services we provide. In New South Wales, this process involves consultation with State agencies to ascertain their strategic information needs over the next few years. Prime consideration is given to important and emerging issues that are relevant to the New South Wales Government's policies. Consideration is also given to data provision issues including accuracy and relevance, as well as broader statistical framework issues, e.g. classifications and standards. The consultation process is also used to identify statistical training needs.
The issues raised in the State Statistical Priorities process form the basis of a consolidated paper, which feeds into ABS local and national forward planning processes.
