Northern Territory - State Supplementary Surveys
  

ANNUAL STATISTICAL SERVICE

The ABS Annual Statistical Service offers each year, a statistical service to the Northern Territory Government (NTG) to help it meet its high priority statistical needs or improve its data collection, management and dissemination strategies or processes.

There are two types of statistical services that are offered by the ABS as part of the Annual Statistical Service:

  • An ABS outposted officer in your agency; or
  • A statistical consultancy.

Recent projects have included:
  • Review of the Visitor Monitoring System, for the Parks and Wildlife Service NT (2005-06).
  • Developing Employment Indicators for the Northern Territory, for the NT Department of Employment, Education and Training (2004-05).

All Northern Territory Government agencies are invited to make a submission in March each year, seeking ABS’ statistical services. Northern Territory Treasury provides a strong leadership role in coordinating submissions for the ABS. Submissions must be made using the Northern Territory Annual Statistical Service Submission Form.
