TableBuilder Online Tutorials Instructions

Instructions for viewing TableBuilder tutorials

Welcome to the Australian Bureau of Statistics online tutorials for TableBuilder.

The following set of self-help tutorials are designed to demonstrate the basic functionality of TableBuilder, and enhance your usability of the product. All users who register to use TableBuilder must complete the tutorials before beginning to use the application. The TableBuilder User Manual, accessible from the TableBuilder entry page, also provides detailed information regarding the features of TableBuilder.

After viewing these tutorials you should be able to:

- Create and customise a small and large table;
- Create custom data groups and geographic areas and use them in your table;
- Save and download tables in different formats;
- View your table as a graph or a thematic map;
- Understand important concepts when creating and interpreting Census data.

It is suggested that you view the tutorials in order; however, you can always return to individual tutorials at a later date for further clarification.

The tutorials have been designed to pause until you select the appropriate link or button to move onto the next screen. Screen captions will prompt you on how to proceed. Please note that these tutorials do not contain voice-over content.

The playback bar at the bottom of the screen allows you to move through the tutorial at your own pace with the available functions of pause, stop, fast-forward and rewind.

Return to the menu and start the tutorials.
