A key Victorian Office strategy to progress the ABS' National Statistical Service objective is via our outposted officer program.
Outposting statistical officers to government agencies and key clients facilitates access to statistics, develops statistical capability and strengthens statistical coordination across these bodies.
While many outposting arrangements are ongoing, covering a wide range of strategic issues, others are for short periods to assist with specific technical projects.
We currently have outpostings at

- Department of Primary Industries
- Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
- Department of Justice
