These datasets have been designed to increase students' understanding of ABS data while giving them a fascinating insight into the lives of Australians. For instance, Dataset S7 shows what sort of activities we do in a typical day and how much time we spend doing them. The data reveals points such as women spend more than double the time than men do looking after children. However, from 1996 to 2006 the proportion of time women spent caring for children decreased by 10% while men's contribution increased from 20% to 30%.

The data used in the sets have been extracted from ABS publications and adapted to make them easy to use and print. If you want other data, you can access all online ABS publications through the Statistics page.
