Economic Datasets |
These datasets have been designed to increase students' understanding of ABS data while giving them a fascinating insight into the lives of Australians. For instance, Dataset E5 shows average weekly earnings for different trades and services. The data reveals that for males the highest average rates of pay are in the mining sector whereas the lowest are in accommodation and food services. However, the data for females shows a subtle difference – while the mining sector still has the highest average pay rate, the lowest sector is the retail trade.
The data used in the sets have been extracted from ABS publications and adapted to make them easy to use and print. If you want other data, you can access all online ABS publications through the Statistics page.
