There are two ways that the Analysis Service allows users to summarise variables in a dataset.

  • Summary Table allows users to tabulate categorical variables against continuous variables. Weighted counts and weighted means can be produced for each cross-classification of categories chosen.
  • Hex Bin Plot allows users to plot two continuous variables against each other. The plotting region is broken into a mesh of tessellating hexagons, each of which is coloured indicating how many observations lie in that hexagon.
