This publication presents information from the 2011-12 Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC). The results from PIAAC will assist in answering questions concerning whether Australians have the literacy skills required for meeting the increasingly complex demands of everyday life and work. PIAAC provides information on knowledge and skills of 15 to 74 year olds in three domains: literacy, numeracy and problem solving in technology-rich environments.
