  • The gross value of livestock products increased by 2% to $7.3 billion in 2011-12.
  • The gross value of wool rose by 2% to $2.7 billion, due to increased prices.
  • The value of milk increased slightly to $4.0 billion, with increased production being partly offset by lower prices.
  • Despite increased production of eggs, lower prices to producers saw the gross value of eggs rise only slightly to $583 million.
