DATA QUALITY AND INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
This chapter provides information about data quality issues to take into account when interpreting results. It is important that data users are aware of data quality issues and be guided by these when interpreting results.
Data quality aspects detailed in this chapter include:
- sampling variability
- non-sampling error
- other factors affecting estimates (including scope, coverage, undercoverage, frame exclusions, non-response, non-identification and field issues).
Interpretation of results detailed in this chapter include:
- general consideration for interpretation of data
- comparability between the 2011-12 Australian Health Survey the 2012-13 Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Survey
- comparability with previous Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Surveys.
