Proficiency in Spoken English - Output

Standard output categories

The standard output categories are the same as the categories of the classification and includes the supplementary categories if applicable:
  • Very well
  • Well
  • Not well
  • Not at all
  • Not stated/Inadequately described
  • Not applicable

As the distinction between the categories 'Very well' and 'Well' is somewhat subjective, they can be amalgamated into the output category 'Well or Very well'. Similarly, 'Not well' and 'Not at all' can be amalgamated into the output category 'Not well or Not at all'. In this case, the output categories would be as follows:
  • Well or Very well
  • Not well or Not at all
  • Not stated/Inadequately described
  • Not applicable
