The population pyramid below shows the age and sex of the Census Night and usual resident populations in Victoria-Daly, in 2011. Both the Census Night and usual resident populations contained a relatively large number of children under 10 year of age, giving this pyramid a distinctly triangular shape. The characteristics of the population of Victoria-Daly were similar to that of other LGAs in the Northern Territory with high Census Night ratios, such as West Arnhem, Roper Gulf, MacDonell, Katherine, Central Desert and Barkly. This shape was not found in all LGAs in the Northern Territory, only those with the high Census Night ratios .
