Broad Description
A database providing comprehensive information on over 2,190 superannuation funds, 68 Government non-superannuation funds and over 420 wholesale investment consultants. Rainmaker also includes information on over 800 investment managers, charities, foundations and institutions.

Purpose of Data
On an interactive basis, the database allows information to be used to perform analysis of the superannuation and investment management industries. The database can be used by both investment managers and superannuation funds to gain a better understanding of individual funds as well as market trends, size and growth. In addition, superannuation funds can use the database to develop benchmarks.

Population
Superannuation funds across all industries, investment managers, institutions and consultants.
Superannuation Data Items
Fund size, account status reports (including fund mandates and assets held), key contact reports, specialised reports and press files.

Source
Data collection is on a systematic basis, sourced from both primary and secondary sources. This includes meetings on a one to one basis for accounts over $100 million, collection of annual reports, market surveys as well as other secondary sources.
