Purpose
To provide forecasts of greenhouse gas emissions from Australian transport.

Description
This collection provides estimates and forecasts of passenger and freight activity, fuel use, and emissions for all modes of transport in Australia.

Estimates are derived from BTE, ABS and other sources of primary data.

Data Detail

  • Activity (passengers and freight, all modes);
  • Fuel use (all types of fuel);
  • Emissions (all greenhouse gases);
  • Causal factors (incomes, fares, freight rates, etc); and
  • Historical estimates and forecasts.

Geographic Coverage
Australia and overseas transport to and from Australia.

Frequency of Data Availability
Data are released annually.

Historical Data
Estimates are available for 1971 to 1993 and forecasts from 1994 to 2015.
