NOTE

This publication (first published on 11 May 2009) was reissued on 25 August 2009. See Appendix 5 for details of changes made in the reissue.

Replacement pages were added to this publication on 23 November 2010. Changes include:

  • replacement of Tables 1 to 19 as a result of changes in a number of data items for 2007-08, as well as minor formatting issues (see below for details to changes to individual tables);
  • revision of commentary where appropriate;
  • addition of Appendices 1 to 4 as Excel data cubes and removal of web page versions of these tables; and
  • removal of the 'National Health Survey: Summary of Results' Adobe PDF file (note that all information previously included in the PDF file remains available in web page commentary and data cubes of this publication).

The majority of changes to data are minor and do not affect interpretation of results. Users who have stored previous versions of the publication or data cubes are advised to delete existing copies and replace with the new content.
