INTRODUCTION The underemployment data items relate to those who are employed, but are willing and able to work more hours. Details are also provided on the reason for underemployment and whether people who work part-time would prefer, and are available, to work more hours. Underemployment is only measured in the 'quarterly' labour force survey months: February, May, August and November (the second month of each financial year quarter).
