NON-SCHOOL QUALIFICATIONS IN THE NORTHERN TERRITORY

  • In 2011, Darwin (47.4%) had the highest rate of attainment non-school qualifications of the two SA4s in the Northern Territory. The rate for the Northern Territory as a whole was 41.9%. This was below the average rate of attainment for Australia (49.9%).
  • The SA4 of Northern Territory - Outback (33.8%) had the lowest rate of attainment of non-school qualifications of all SA4s in Australia.

MANAGEMENT AND COMMERCE
  • In 2011, nearly twice as many people in Darwin (8.8%) had a non-school qualification in the field of management and commerce, than in Northern Territory - Outback (4.6%).

ENGINEERING AND RELATED TECHNOLOGIES
  • In 2011, more people in Darwin (10.1%) had a non-school qualification in the field of engineering and related technologies, than in Northern Territory - Outback (6.6%).
