OVERVIEW
Requested by the Queensland Department of Family and Community Services. Information collected from all persons aged 60 years and over living in Private dwellings in Queensland. Information was collected on Eligibility of respondent to hold Seniors Card, source of information about card, holdings of other concessions and discount cards for aged persons, types of concessions and discounts received using Seniors Card and other cards, frequency of use and reasons for non-use of Seniors Card. For non-holders of Seniors Cards, reasons for not obtaining card and if card had lapsed, reason for letting it lapse.
PURPOSE
Assist the Queensland Government to gauge the success of advertising campaigns in increasing awareness of the Seniors Card and to measure the extent of use of the card.
SCOPE
Scope -
All persons aged 60 years or over who were usual residents of private dwellings and usual residents of caravans in the private dwelling sample were in scope. All visitors and persons living in non-private dwellings were excluded. Other Monthly Population Survey exclusions apply.
