  • About this Release

22/12/2009 Note: The expanded confidentialised unit record file (CURF) for the 2007 Personal Fraud survey now contains only one Socio-economic Index for Areas (SEIFA) instead of two when the product was first released on 27 January 2009. The index of Relative Socio-economic Advantage/Disadvantage has been removed from the expanded CURF leaving the index of Relative Socio-economic Disadvantage on the file. The change has been brought about by a review of the ABS' policy on the release of small area data available on expanded CURFs. The data item list has been amended to reflect this change, however the Technical Manual has not been updated and still contains reference to the index of Relative Advantage/Disadvantage. Further information regarding SEIFA indexes is available via the ABS' Information and Referral Service on 1300 135 070 or email client.services@abs.gov.au.

Provides information about the microdata available from the 2007-2008 Personal Fraud Expanded Confidentialised Unit Record File (CURF), explaining data content, technical details and conditions of use. The statistics available on this Expanded CURF were compiled from the 2007-2008 Multipurpose Household Survey.

For more information on accessing and using ABS CURFs, please see the CURF Microdata Entry Page.
