Construction Industries by state The Construction Industry is a major contributor towards the Gross State Product of each Australian state. Given the Construction Industry's economic importance, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is releasing a series of articles focussing on the industry in each state. This series is only available on the ABS web site <www.abs.gov.au>. To gain access to the articles on the ABS web site follow this path of links from the Home page: 'Themes' - 'Building and Construction' - 'Products and Services' - 'Major Papers, Analysis and Articles of Interest'. Links to the articles on the Construction Industry appear at the end of the 'Major Papers, Analysis and Articles of Interest' page.
