Construction Industries by state The Construction Industry is a major contributor towards the Gross State Product of each Australian state. Given the Construction Industry's economic importance, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is releasing a series of articles focussing on the industry in each state. This series is only available on the ABS web site <www.abs.gov.au>. To gain access to the articles on the ABS web site follow this path of links from the Home page: 'Themes' - 'Building and Construction' - 'Products and Services' - 'Major Papers, Analysis and Articles of Interest'. Links to the articles on the Construction Industry appear at the end of the 'Major Papers, Analysis and Articles of Interest' page. State articles already available on the web site include Western Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. Mark your diaries for the release of 'Focus on the South Australian Construction Industry' and 'Focus on the Tasmanian Construction Industry'. Both these articles will be on the ABS web site under 'Major Papers, Analysis and Articles of Interest' at 11.30am (AEST) on 30 July, 2004.
