New expanded Queensland regional statistics publication Which area has the least crime in Queensland? How many people receive disability support pensions? Which areas have the highest incomes? For the answers to these and hundreds of other fascinating questions about Queensland turn to the Regional Statistics, Queensland 1999 publication, released today by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). The publication includes information down to local council level. New features in the publication include crime, income data and social security statistics. Old favourites brought together from a range of ABS sources include: area, population, age, births and deaths, building statistics, tourism, manufacturing, agriculture, new motor vehicle registrations and schools.
