Professor Glyn Davis, Chair of the 2020 Summit Steering Committee, to be a keynote speaker at NatStats08 Conference
    Professor Glyn Davis, vice chancellor of the University of Melbourne and chair of the 2020 Summit Steering Committee, will be a keynote speaker along with Dr David Gruen, Executive Director from The Treasury, in the Informing the Nation session at the NatStats08 Conference .

    The availability of quality and timely information will be critical to the delivery of successful outcomes from the 2020 Summit and the COAG Reform Agenda. The Informing the Nation session at the NatStats08 Conference will bring together an array of experts to discuss the key issues for measuring progress and performance, assisting government policy and decision making, and informing community debate and research.

    In addition to the keynote addresses, the conference will conduct related concurrent sessions on:
      • Measuring Health Outcomes
      • Measuring Education Outcomes
      • Outcomes for Indigenous Australia

    Speakers in these sessions include:
      • Dr Penny Allbon, Director of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare
      • Professor Peter Dawkins, Secretary of the Victorian Department of Education and Early Childhood Development
      • Professor Ian Anderson, Director of Onemda VicHealth Koori Health Unit

    The NatStats08 Conference is being held at the Crown Promenade Hotel, Southbank, Melbourne from 19-21 November 2008.
