Presents information on the number and characteristics of persons who have been retrenched or accepted redundancy packages across Australia in the last three years. Data are cross-classified by demographic variables, such as age, birthplace, sex and educational attainment. Details are also provided on the job from which retrenched, such as industry, occupation, and time with employer. Information relating to labour force activity since retrenchment includes job search experience, involvement in labour market programs, and labour force status in the last three years.
