QUARTERLY ESTIMATES
  • In September quarter 2017, there were 57 disputes, 10 more than in June quarter 2017.
  • The number of employees involved in industrial disputes in September quarter 2017 was 8,100, a decrease from 27,800 in June quarter 2017.
  • There were 45,900 working days lost due to industrial disputation in September quarter 2017, an increase from 40,200 in June quarter 2017.
  • The highest number of working days lost by industry was in Coal Mining (30,800), which accounted for 67% of total working days lost.


YEAR ENDED ESTIMATES
  • During the year ended September 2017, there were 156 disputes, 129 fewer than in the year ended September 2016.
  • Over the same period, there were 148,900 working days lost, 40% more than in the year ended September 2016 (106,500).
