Presents national estimates, for the mining industry, of employment at 30 June 2006 and major economic and financial aggregates: income and expenditure; various profit measures; industry value added; capital expenditure, and components of these, as well as performance measures (ratios) derived from them. State and territory estimates of major variables (for the industry excluding services to mining) are included. Also presents summary estimates of the value of mineral production by state and for the Northern Territory, drawn from their administrative sources. Detailed commodity estimates, of production quantity as well as value, will be available on spreadsheets to be released concurrently.
This publication was produced in alternate years with Australian Mining Industry (cat. no. 8414.0) until this publication ceased. The 1998-99 edition of 8414.0 was the final issue.
