BROADBAND USE


The ABS defines broadband as an 'always on' internet connection with an access speed equal to or greater than 256kbps. Businesses with internet access were asked to identify the main type of internet connection used as at 30 June 2013.

Graph: proportion of businesses with broadband as the main type of internet connection, by employment size, 2010-11 to 2012-13. This proportion has been at near saturation point for the past three years.

Results show more than 99% of all Australian businesses with internet access identified broadband as the main connection type. This proportion has been at near saturation point for the past three years.
