Consumer spending patterns and price change: How does electricity compare?
This article looks at the impact of price change on the spending patterns of Australian households. In particular, it focuses on electricity prices paid by consumers which have increased by 39 per cent between June 2011 and March 2017. In response consumers will most likely modify their use of electricity resulting in changes in the quantity of electricity consumed by households.
