ABOUT THIS RELEASE

Provides information on persons who worked at some time in the previous 12 months and who suffered a work-related injury or illness. These people were asked whether they suffered the injury in their current or previous job; the number of illnesses or injuries suffered; the number of days/shifts absent from work due to the injury/illness; sources of financial assistance; whether they applied for workers' compensation; and the reason they did not apply for workers' compensation. Estimates can be cross-classified with labour force characteristics and demographics such as State, sex, relationship in household, marital status, birthplace, occupation, industry.
