MALES

The trend estimate of employed males generally rose from 5,155,800 in August 2002 to 5,981,100 in September 2008. The trend then fell to 5,930,200 in April 2009, before rising to 6,247,100 in January 2011. The trend then fell to 6,222,400 in August 2011 before generally rising to 6,249,800 in August 2012.

FEMALES

The trend estimate of employed females rose from 4,129,200 in August 2002 to 4,246,300 in April 2003, before generally falling to 4,240,700 in November 2003. The trend then generally rose to 5,259,300 in August 2012.

The trend estimate of employed persons rose from 9,285,000 in August 2002 to 9,464,400 in March 2003. The trend then fell to 9,456,100 in May 2003 before generally rising to 11,509,100 in August 2012.
