Summary Comments

Compensation of employees

  • The trend increase of 1.6% in the June quarter reflects a rise of 0.6% in average earnings and 1.0% rise in the number of wage and salary earners. Seasonally adjusted, compensation of employees grew by 1.5%. Average earnings increased by 0.2%, while the number of wage and salary earners increased by 1.3%. Gross operating surplus
  • The trend GOS of financial and non-financial corporations increased by 3.1% in the June quarter. Seasonally adjusted, GOS of financial and non-financial corporations increased by 8.6%, following a fall of 1.2% in the March quarter.
