Make Informed Decisions Faster

Most organisations today face challenges from ever tightening budgets, reduced resources and difficult deadlines. CDATA96 can lift your organisation's performance and help meet these challenges.

CDATA96 can be a valuable tool in sales force management, in determining and checking marketing plans, promotional and advertising campaigns, analysing distribution decisions, and gaining a better understanding of your target markets.

Combining the wealth of demographic information collected in the 1996 Census of Population and Housing with powerful mapping software, the Australian Bureau of Statistics' CDATA96 empowers decision makers with fresh and incisive insights into the changing face of Australian society.
CDATA96 covers a variety of aspects of Australian society including:
    • Age
    • Dwelling type
    • Sex
    • Educational attainment
    • Birthplace
    • Rents and mortgages
    • Personal Income
    • Type of transport to work
    • Household Income
    • Occupation and industry
    • Marital Status
    • Religion

Already hundreds of Australian organisations are using CDATA96. Some of these organisations had their first glimpse of CDATA96 at a CDATA96 'Showcase'

These 'Showcases' were held at the ABS offices in NSW, Victoria, Queensland and the Northern Territory, and provided a perfect forum for interested members of both private and government sectors to view a demonstration of the product in an informal environment.

In Queensland a total of 96 people attended 4 Showcases. These people represented 45 different companies and government departments.

In NSW there have been 17 Showcases, with a total of 321 people from 180 different organisations attending the demonstrations.

"The demonstrations provide a tremendous opportunity for clients to talk to us about how CDATA96 can help them achieve their goals and solve problems" said Nicole Egan, ABS NSW Business Development Manager. "In instances where CDATA96 may not be appropriate for a particular organisation, we can offer an extensive range of other ABS products and services which provide total data solutions."

If you or a group of your colleagues are interested in viewing a CDATA96 demonstration, please contact your local State/Territory ABS office for more details.

CDATA96 demonstrations provide a forum for discussion of an organisation's needs.
