ABOUT THIS RELEASE
This publication provides information about the expanded Confidentialised Unit Record File (CURF) from the 200001 Survey of Income and Housing Costs (SIHC). Two microdata files are available from the survey: a basic CURF available on CD-ROM or through the Remote Access Data Library (RADL), and an expanded CURF accessible only through the RADL. This file contains more detailed data for some variables than the basic CURF, as well as some additional variables.
The RADL is an on-line database query system, under which microdata are held on a server at the ABS, to which users can submit batch programs to interrogate, analyse, model, etc. the data, and can access the results. This Technical Paper relates specifically to the expanded CURF accessible through the RADL. Users of the basic CURF should consult the 2000-01 SIHC CURF Technical Paper which was released in August 2003.
