HISTORICAL DEMOGRAPHIC PUBLICATIONS
Historical demographic publications are progressively being added to the ABS website, under the product title Demography Bulletin (cat. no. 3141.0). These include population, vital statistics and migration information for Australia and states and territories in the form of facsimiles of Commonwealth Bureau of Census and Statistics Population and Vital Statistics Bulletins (1906 to 1921), Australian Demography Bulletins (1922 to 1937) and Demography Bulletins (1938 to 1971). Much of the information contained in Australian Historical Population Statistics (cat. no. 3105.0.55.001) has been sourced from these publications.
In addition, facsimiles of Australian Demographic Statistics (cat. no. 3101.0) and associated publications Population and Vital Statistics (cat. no. 3212.0) and Summary of Vital and Population Statistics (ref. no. 4.11) for December 1968 to June 1992 will be progressively added to the ABS website from September 2009.
Facsimiles of Overseas Arrivals and Departures (cat. no. 3401.0) from January 1977 to December 1996 have been added to the ABS website recently.
