Pigs are raised throughout Victoria; the highest numbers are in the Loddon and Wimmera Statistical Divisions (SDs). At 30 June 2007, the Victorian pig herd stood at 463,000.

At 30 June 2007, most pigs in Victoria were found in the Loddon SD (135,000). This was followed by the Goulburn SD with 117,000.
