Purpose of the classification

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Balance of Payments Sector Classification is used in the compilation and presentation of Balance of Payments current and financial account statistics.

Structure of the classification

The structure of the classification is:

    Other

    Although the same classification applies, different terminology is used in the presentation of Australian Balance of Payments statistics:
