Selected impacts on imports on a recorded trade basis at the 3-digit level of SITC

Office machines and related codes

At the three-digit level of SITC in 2006-07 there is an increase of $1.2b (196%) in group 751 'Office machines' offset by reduction in group 752 'Automatic data processing machines & units thereof, magnetic, optical readers; data transcribers & processors' $829m (12%) and group 759 'Parts and accessories (excl. covers, cases and the like) for use with office & automatic data processing machines' $460m (21%). This movement can be mostly attributed to movements from SITC groups 745, 752, 759 and 764 which include commodities such as inkjet printers, fax machines, office machines that perform two or more functions, copy machines and teleprinters. The impact on these codes is shown in Table A2.1.
