ABOUT THIS RELEASE

Health risk factors such as alcohol consumption, tobacco smoking, exercise level, and body mass index are measured in the three National Health Surveys (1989/90, 1995, and 2001). However, survey design and collection methods have varied over time. In some cases, the ability to compare health risk factors over time may be affected. This paper is designed to assist data users to compare health risk factors over the three National Health Surveys.
