The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has developed several concordance products that enable users to convert data for one type of geographic areas to another.

Postal Areas (POA) are an approximation of Australia Post Postcodes based on our Census Collection Districts. The Postal Area Concordances consist of population weighted comma delimited files that enable users to convert population data coded to postcodes to other geographical areas. The population weighted concordances are only available for census edition of the ASGC.
