SURVEY OF DISABILITY, AGEING AND CARERS

Disability, Ageing and Carers, Australia: Summary of Findings, 2003 (cat. no. 4430.0) was released 12 November 2004 and contains state tables for New South Wales. This publication presents a summary of results from the Survey of Disability, Ageing and Carers. Data covers three main areas: people with a disability (including disability status, main condition, assistance needed or received, use of aids, use of public transport and employment restrictions); older people (including assistance needed or received, culture and leisure participation, disability status and income); and people who provide assistance to others because of their disability or age (including carer status, relationship to main recipient, time spent caring for main recipient, need for and receipt of respite care and reasons for taking on the caring role).
